A Place of Peace does accept limited Insurance Plans. Please inquire to gain more information. Insurance plans and specific coverage varies based on individual insurance plans. Clients are responsible for payment of services rendered when their insurance plans fail to pay. Please review your plan periodically for any changes. We recommend that you check with your insurance company prior to the first meeting to understand your outpatient counseling benefits. You should ask your insurance company about: 1) coverage for “outpatient counseling services” (in person and telehealth) 2) the percentage of reimbursement for an “out of network psychotherapist, your copay amount, your deductible for mental health benefits and have you met it, and what is your out of network mental health benefit?
Insurance clients will not be seen without verification of insurance benefits before session, unless an out of pocket payment is received. Copayments are received the same day of service.
Many clients choose not to utilize their insurance benefits because it promotes and enhances privacy within the counseling setting, rather than a focus on a given mental diagnoses required by insurance companies. We encourage you to contact your insurance company to help inform your decision about therapy. We can provide a detailed statement of services receipt for reimbursement that can be submitted to all insurance companies if your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits. Some questions you may want to ask your insurance company is:
